Launch of Entry Trigger under various schemes of ICICI Prudential AMC

ICICI Prudential has announced the introduction of Entry Trigger facility under various open-ended fixed income schemes with effect from today. Under this facility investors can park their investable surplus in fixed income schemes and can switch to specified equity schemes based on pre-defined trigger when the markets reach the specified levels.

Investor(s) can choose Trigger levels based on either:

  • BSE Sensex Values (in multiples of 100) or
  • % Drop (5%, 10%, 15% and 20%) in NAV of Transferee / Target scheme.

This facility was initially introduced in ICICI Prudential Target Returns Fund (Open Ended Diversified Equity Fund. There is no guarantee or assurance of returns.) in November 2009. Our Fund house was the first one to introduce the Trigger facility in the industry. The success of this feature reinforced the fact that investors have appreciated innovation which helps them to participate in equity markets in a disciplined and convenient way and is in line with our product and business strategy of keeping in mind investor(s) interest at the forefront.

The endeavor of extending this facility to other schemes is to help investors at large to benefit from this facility through a wider basket of funds of their choice.
